Restaurante El Corralón in Benalmádena

"This restaurant is in a lovely little plaza away from the main streets of the Arroyo and nestles in amongst the other eateries and Bars that are lucky enough to be there. The people that run it are very friendly and hospitable, seating us without a reservation at a table in the very popular outdoor section. The quality of the food and the choice on offer was outstanding, which also went for the wine offered. The level of service was excellent and appropriate, which helped to create a very relaxing atmosphere. If we needed something, eye contact was easily established and we weren't at all pestered by the staff/owners to confirm if everything was ok, which was much appreciated and allowed us to simply enjoy the beautiful food and the ambiance of the evening. We will definitely will visit here again and probably again and again... :-) One quick note: If fillet steak is your thing, pop in to reserve this at the same time you book your table - they buy this in fresh to order, so not available unless you asked them to get you one (two, three, etc.) That said, the menu has plenty of choice with some very good fish options (I went for the Salmon in port wine sauce - heavenly!)."

The staff are friendly and it's nice to watch them fillet the fish at the side of your table. You need to book in advance if you are having the sole."
